The University Career Center manages two canvas sites to support prospective medical school applicants:
- Gearing Up to Apply to Medical School (GUTA): a short term, virtual mini-series taking place during the Winter semester to help students get organized and ready for their application. This is designed for students intending to apply to medical school in summer 2024 (for matriculation in 2025). Through announcements, to-do-lists and Q&As, GUTA helps students stay on track for May, when the primary applications open. Registration for GUTA 2024 is closed.
- Med App: a year-long resource that runs with each application cycle from spring to spring. Subscribers receive online group coaching via timely updates and application tips, along with announcements about events, opportunities and articles relevant to (pre-)medical education and practice. Med App 24-25 registration is open.
Prospective applicants are welcome to subscribe to either or both canvas sites to familiarize themselves with the medical school application's components, timelines and mechanics.
